COD. 40 / Weekend by bike on the shores of the lake

An easy proposal to discover in two days the beauty of Lake Trasimeno and its villages, alternating cycle paths and scenic roads without traffic. Ancient fishing villages alternate with small beaches and tourist spots, scenic spots of great beauty are added to the beauties of the most important villages, such as Passignano, Tuoro, Castiglione del Lago, Panicale and Paciano. A soft and romantic landscape ideal to discover by bike, an ideal holiday to relax, eat well and escape the frenetic pace of everyday life.

The itinerary develops between the shores of Lake Trasimeno and the surrounding hills, partly exploiting the dirt cycle path of the Trasimeno and, for the rest, secondary roads with little traffic. The itinerary is not difficult, but in particular the first day includes two climbs, the one that leads from Castiglione del Lago to Gioiella and the final one that will take you to the historic center of Panicale. The second day is definitely easier and presents only some slight ups and downs.

Overall the itinerary is easy and requires no special training, but only a good physical condition. For those who do not have to feel able, however, it is possible to rent the ebike to enjoy the views without effort
