There was a different way to experience the territory. Slower, more immersive, more genuine. This was what the Tiferno Wild Gravel offered\u2014an experience that combined sport, nature, and culture in the heart of Upper Umbria.<\/p>

It was not just a ride, but a journey through landscapes, villages, and flavors that told the most authentic story of this land.<\/p>

An Event of Nature, History, and Passion<\/strong><\/p>

Tiferno Wild Gravel was created with a clear goal: to showcase the Alto Tevere region through cycle tourism. The event was centered around Citt\u00e0 di Castello, the starting and finishing point of a route that passed through some of the area\u2019s most stunning locations.<\/p>

Every kilometer was an encounter: with nature, with history, and with beauty.<\/p>

Participants cycled through:<\/p>

  • gravel roads and trails immersed in greenery<\/li>
  • stretches along the Tiber cycle path<\/li>
  • medieval villages such as Montone and Pietralunga<\/li><\/ul>

    It was a perfect mix of adventure and discovery, designed for those who experienced cycling as a journey, not just a performance.<\/p>

    The Route: Between Gravel and Wonder<\/strong><\/p>

    The heart of the event was a 65 km loop, accessible yet full of stunning scenery.<\/p>

    Starting from the historic center of Citt\u00e0 di Castello, riders quickly found themselves surrounded by nature: open fields, gentle hills, wooded paths, and continuously changing panoramic views.<\/p>

    The route alternated between:<\/p>

    • secondary asphalt roads<\/li>
    • gravel paths<\/li>
    • natural trails<\/li><\/ul>

      With a total elevation gain of just over 1000 meters, it was suitable for those with some cycling experience but mainly seeking to enjoy the ride.<\/p>

      Along the way, participants could take breaks at refreshment points that highlighted local products, creating moments of conviviality and relaxation.<\/p>

      An Event for Everyone<\/strong><\/p>

      One of the most remarkable aspects of Tiferno Wild Gravel was its accessibility. It was not a competitive race but an event open to all cycling enthusiasts.<\/p>

      Alongside the main route, shorter and easier trails were offered:<\/p>

      • family-friendly routes, suitable even for children<\/li>
      • mixed tourist routes combining asphalt and gravel<\/li><\/ul>

        This made the event perfect not only for experienced cyclists but also for those approaching gravel riding in a relaxed and engaging way.<\/p>

        Participating in Tiferno Wild Gravel also meant discovering a lesser-known but incredibly rich Umbria.<\/p>
