Even a small issue, during a long journey, can turn into a major problem after many kilometers.<\/li><li><strong> Let\u2019s start with the tires: what should be done?<\/strong><br \/>Tires are the bike\u2019s point of contact with the road, so they need to be checked carefully. You should make sure they are not too worn, cut, or hardened by age. Then it is essential to check the pressure: if it is too low, the risk of punctures increases; if it is too high, the bike becomes less stable and less comfortable. The ideal pressure depends on the type of bike, the rider\u2019s weight, and the terrain to be tackled.<\/li><li><strong> What about the brakes?<\/strong><br \/>The brakes must be in perfect condition, especially if you are riding on hilly or mountainous routes. You should check the wear of the brake pads, make sure the discs are clean, and ensure that braking is responsive and easy to modulate.<\/li><li><strong> The chain is often overlooked.
