Day 1: Welcome to Perugia
Arrival in Perugia and free time to stroll through the historic city center along Corso Vannucci, the main street lined with important monuments such as the Duomo, the Fontana Maggiore, and the Palazzo dei Priori, which houses the National Gallery of Umbria. Free lunch. In the afternoon, visit Perugia Underground to discover the city’s subterranean history from Etruscan and Roman times, then return to the surface and enjoy a delicious chocolate tasting. Free dinner. Overnight stay.
Day two: Perugia/San Marco/Colle Umberto/Corciano/Perugia (route: 35 km elevation gain: 690 m) – medium difficulty
Early in the morning, after breakfast, the tour begins with a trip to Corciano, passing through part of the Sentiero delle Pievi e dei Castelli del Perugino (Path of the Churches and Castles of Perugino). You will admire the Castello dell’Oscano, Villa Colle del Cardinale, and Pieve del Vescovo, before arriving in Corciano, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Lunch and dinner are not included. Overnight stay.
Day 3: Perugia/Umbertide (Tiber Cycle Route) / Perugia (route: 59 km round trip on the same route - elevation gain 360/580 m) – medium difficulty
The day will be spent exploring the Tiber Cycle Route, which follows the course of the river and passes through some truly picturesque locations, including small farms, abbeys, and tiny villages. Lunch and dinner are not included. Overnight stay.
Day 4: Discover the villages of the Upper Tiber Valley
After breakfast, before returning to your destination, we suggest visiting some of the villages in the Upper Tiber Valley, such as Pietralunga and Monte Santa Maria Tiberina.
