Itinerary

First day: Welcome to Città di Castello

Arrival in the afternoon in Città di Castello, birthplace of the renowned artist Alberto Burri, and free walk through the historic center of the Renaissance city to discover its main monuments. Dinner at leisure and overnight stay in a bike-friendly accommodation.

Second day: A day of cycling through nature and history

After breakfast, excursion in search of truffles. Departure from Pietralunga along the Truffle Trail, in close contact with nature. Return in the early afternoon to Città di Castello, where we suggest a short and easy bike route in the Bike District: an 11 km ride (about 3 hours) to discover the wonderful Natural Park of the Upper Tiber Valley. An easy itinerary, suitable for children and for any type of bicycle. Dinner and overnight stay.

Third day: Discovering Umbertide

After breakfast, before returning to your destination, we suggest a walk around Umbertide, with the beautiful Rocca, a superb medieval fortress, symbol of the city, now an Art Centre, the octagonal Church of Santa Maria della Reggia and the Church of the Holy Cross.
