Itinerary

Friday: Welcome to Città di Castello

Independent arrival in Umbria, in Città di Castello, in the early afternoon.
Visit to the Ex Seccatoi – Burri Museum.
Dinner and overnight stay in a bike-friendly accommodation facility.

Saturday: A Day of Cycling Amid Nature and History

After breakfast, the bikes will be delivered to the accommodation facility and you will set off along the Tiber Cycle Route, a cycling itinerary that connects Città di Castello to Perugia and runs along the banks of the Tiber River. You will cycle the first 30 km, almost constantly following the Tiber, whose waters are extraordinarily clear in every season and surrounded by lush vegetation, until reaching Umbertide.

Lunch at leisure.
Free time for a stroll around Umbertide.
Return to Città di Castello, bike drop-off, dinner and overnight stay.

Sunday: Discovering the Grifani Donati Printing House

After breakfast, before departing for your destination, you will visit the Grifani Donati Printing House, one of the city’s excellences. Founded in 1799, the printing house is unique among such historic businesses in still being active today. In recent years, it has become an essential point of reference for the cultural enhancement of the typographic heritage of Città di Castello.
