An itinerary designed in the heart of Umbria, from Perugia to Assisi. A very easy route, which runs along secondary roads with very little traffic, making it ideal for beginners and children. What makes this itinerary special is the wealth of cultural attractions that you can visit within a few kilometers. Starting from Perugia and Assisi, the city of St. Francis, you will immerse yourself in the Umbrian countryside. An ideal vacation for those who want to cycle with friends or family in total freedom, without the constraints of fixed dates or the pre-established pace of guided tours, but still with the necessary information to enjoy your vacation in complete peace of mind.

Itinerary

Friday: Welcome to Perugia

Arrival in Umbria in the early afternoon. Check-in at the accommodation. Travel independently to the historic center of Perugia for a leisurely stroll and a visit to Perugia Underground. Return to the accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Saturday: A day of cycling through nature and history

After breakfast, you will make your own way to our partner in Santa Maria degli Angeli Assisi to collect your rental bikes. Here, the bike ride will follow various routes that will be planned together, on roads with little or no traffic, mainly through rural areas of great historical and artistic interest. Free lunch. In the afternoon, entrance to the FAI Forest of St. Francis in Assisi. Return to the morning meeting point to collect your vehicle and return the bikes. Dinner and overnight stay at the accommodation.

Sunday: Wine tasting at a local winery

After breakfast, before departing for your destination, you will visit a local winery for a wine tasting.
