Itinerary
Friday: Welcome to Città di Castello
Arrive in Città di Castello in the early afternoon. Take a walk through the Renaissance-era city, discovering the main monuments: Piazza Gabriotti and the Bishop’s Tower (Torre del Vescovo), the ancient Forum, Palazzo dei Priori, the Cathedral of SS. Florido and Amanzio (Duomo), Palazzo del Podestà, Piazza Matteotti, Corso Vittorio Emanuele, Palazzo Vitelli alla Cannoniera, Chiesa di San Francesco, and Chiesa di San Domenico. Entry to the Pinacoteca Comunale (Municipal Art Gallery), whose collection of works is the second most important in Umbria after the Galleria Nazionale in Perugia. Free dinner. Overnight stay at bike-friendly accommodation.
Saturday: A Day Cycling Through Nature and History
After breakfast, the morning will allow for a true immersion in contemporary art by discovering Alberto Burri: the visit will first include access to Palazzo Albizzini and then conclude at the Ex Seccatoi del Tabacco (Former Tobacco Drying Sheds). Free lunch. In the afternoon, it will be possible to arrange an e-bike/mountain bike excursion with one of our cycling guides in the Discovery & Bike Alto Tevere district (custom-built). Free dinner and overnight stay.
Sunday: Discovering Montone
After breakfast, visit the beautiful medieval village of Montone before heading back to your destination.
