Itinerary
Friday: Welcome to Città di Castello
Arrive in Città di Castello and take a self-guided walk through the Renaissance-era city, which is the birthplace of the celebrated contemporary artist, Alberto Burri. In the afternoon, a visit to the historic Grifani Donati Typography in the old town center of Città di Castello will be organized. Free dinner and overnight stay at bike-friendly accommodations.
Saturday: A Day Cycling Through Nature and History
After breakfast, the day will be dedicated to an e-bike/mountain bike ride. Family Bike Loop Route of 11 km in the morning (approx. 3 hours) with expert guides who will lead you to discover the marvelous Upper Tiber Valley Nature Park. This is an easy itinerary, suitable for children and any type of bike. Starting from the city center, the route runs almost entirely along the Tiber River cycle path and offers beautiful views of the city and surrounding hills. Many rest areas, some equipped with bike racks, are available along the cycle path. Afternoon free. Free dinner and overnight stay.
Sunday: Visit to the Malakos Museum, Europe's Largest Malacological Collection. What's Included in the Cost
After breakfast and before returning to your destination, a visit to the Malakos Museum, the largest private malacological collection in Europe, will be organized.
