Itinerary
Day One: Welcome to Orvieto
The first stop on this family itinerary will be Orvieto. Here, thanks to the Carta Unica pass, you will have access to the city’s main monuments. In particular, we recommend St. Patrick’s Well, a true masterpiece of Renaissance engineering. It was built in the 16th century to guarantee water for the citizens at any time of year, especially in the event of disasters or a prolonged siege. You can reach the bottom of the Well via a long spiral staircase with 248 steps, while a second ramp is used for the climb back up.
Accommodation and overnight stay.
Day Two: Marmore Falls and Lake Piediluco
After breakfast, we recommend travelling to the Marmore Falls, with entrance to the Park and a self-guided walk. Payment is to be made on site. Please note the Park opening hours and water release schedule, which vary according to the month chosen for your stay.
An e-bike ride in the lake area can also be arranged.
In the afternoon, the itinerary will take the family to Lake Piediluco, the largest natural lake basin in Umbria after Lake Trasimeno.
Overnight stay.
Day Three: Lake Trasimeno
After breakfast, before returning to your destination, you will travel towards Lake Trasimeno, the largest lake in Central Italy. From Passignano sul Trasimeno, you will take a boat trip to Isola Maggiore, the only inhabited island among the three islands rising from the waters of Lake Trasimeno.
